“Space and Defence Systems (SDS) is a business unit of Rakon France, responsible for the development of equipment for the space and defence market. Our team is made up mainly of electronics, software and mechanical engineers, to carry out the projects entrusted to us. We also develop our own products for the NewSpace and constellation markets. Our products are organized into four main product lines:

Master Reference Oscillator (MRO) :

This equipment generates and distributes a highly stable clock to the heart of the satellite. This is a basic function for all communications satellites, as well as for scientific applications. MRO accuracy in terms of stability and noise is crucial, as it determines the satellite's overall performance.

GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) receivers :

Embedded in a satellite, this equipment is capable of determining the satellite's position and speed using signals generated by navigation constellations such as GPS or Galileo.

Software Defined Radio (SDR) :

This is the satellite equipment that enables communication and data exchange with the ground or between satellites. This equipment is also used in satellite radar subsystems.

Defence Systems :

Rakon SDS also works on defense systems projects such as radar and RF jammer subsystems.
